Two Cases of Thyroglossal Duct Fistula

Abstract
|
|
|
Thyroglossal duct cysts result from failure to obliterate the embryonic thyroglossal duct. When these cysts drain through the skin, they produce thyroglossal duct fistulas, which are often infected.
We peport two cases of thyroglossal duct fistula in an 8-year-old boy and a 4-year-old man who had a infected cystic mass mass and sinus on the anterior midline neck, respectively. The cyst which is lined (Kor J Dermatol 1995;33(3) : 516~519)
